PS2 Cover for Godzilla: Save the Earth
Godzilla: Save the Earth is a fighting game released in 2004. It was released only for the platforms Xbox and the Playstation 2. The game included about 18 playable kaiju, including Godzilla 2000, Anguirus, Godzilla 90's, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Baragon, Gigan, Megalon, Jet Jaguar, Mecha-King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla 2, SpaceGodzilla, M.O.G.U.E.R.A., Destoroyah, Orga, Megaguirus, and Kiryu (called Mechagodzilla 3 in game.) The plot concerns the alien race known as the Vortaak returning from their defeat 2 years earlier (in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee), and plotting to take Godzilla's cells that Earth scientists have discovered (called G-Cells in game.) The game features many modes such as Action, Survival, Melee, Versus, and Multiplayer, very similar to Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee.
Plot[]
The alien race known as the Vortaak has come to invade Earth for revenge after being defeated in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. As you play as your chosen monster, you fight numerous kaiju under the aliens' control. If you choose Easy mode, you will most likely end up fighting Orga in the end, or if you choose Godzilla 90's, you will fight Mechagodzilla 2. If you choose Hard mode, you will end up fighting SpaceGodzilla in the end. If you complete hard mode, a cutscene will be shown showing Godzilla opening a wormhole and trapping SpaceGodzilla in there.
